For all of us at MSU Health Care, there is no “I” in team, but there is a YOU. Millions of them actually–all across Michigan, all with different dreams, life circumstances, and unique medical challenges.

The challenge: Explore how MSU Health Care’s patient-first philosophy creates a personalized experience for patients facing diverse medical challenges. Focus on a real-world example that demonstrates how their team based, compassionate approach addressed a unique need and led to a positive outcome.

The way in: Describe a situation where a patient benefitted from MSU Health Care’s network of physicians, clinicians, and researchers working together to deliver care tailored to their specific circumstances. Highlight how their focus on equality, compassion, and expertise was evident in the patient’s experience, whether it involved overcoming a complex condition, accessing an innovative treatment, or receiving holistic support. Conclude by connecting the outcome to MSU Health Care’s mission of putting the patient at the center of everything they do.

Using real patients

The MSU Health Care brand tagline, “Our mission starts with you,” is personal. So to help people see the importance of MSU Health Care’s dedication to patients on a personal level, we asked patients who experienced that care firsthand to show others how MSU Health Care made it possible for them to live their best lives. It’s more than just delivering a message in an authentic way. By having our patients share their personal stories and experiences, we were able to make future patients feel the impact MSU Health Care can have on their lives and see how they are the “You” in our mission.
