The INFORMERS Bring a KAPOW! to Monigle Associates 6.27.2008 – A successful client project is often brought about because of a swirl of ideas, fresh and diverse perspectives from peer collaborations. Building on the same concept, Monigle Associates announces the official inauguration of its Internal Communications Team, the INFORMERS—a dynamic group charged with bringing together the 85+ Monigle Associates employees to identify key opportunities for growth and innovation, and to encourage forward thinking as a collective team. Senior Associate and Team Leader Mike Herburger remarked, "Informally this has always been a part of our culture, but we wanted to take it a step further. This was an opportunity to call out to representatives from each area of the company and together give a sense of ownership in really creating a central group to manage and inspire the process?
The main focus of the INFORMERS is to harness creativity and hone employee awareness and spirit with internal communications and happenings. This occurs through monthly gatherings, educational sessions, contests and showcases, and perhaps most importantly community and charity events.
"It's not just people meeting for meeting?s sake. Monigle has been a cornerstone in Cherry Creek North for 35 years and part of our corporate responsibility is to be able to give back to the community that shaped us. Our workplace environment is full of great, vibrant people and we want to tap into that energy for the greater good," explained Brittany Schick, Team Coordinator. Part of the fun was coming up with an appropriate team name. Several contenders came to the ring, including the Molégles, the MAI Beat, and (jokingly) the Rat Finks. The moniker INFORMERS was finally settled upon as it denotes an exchange of information and being in the know before something happens. To add to the dimensionality, the team took on a superhero persona, with every member selecting a "cartoon sound" to represent his or her personality. For the team?s signature calling, "Kapow!" stood out as a fresh, impactful association. The kick-off for the INFORMERS occurred during Monigle Associates 35th anniversary celebration as a way to demonstrate building on past successes and moving forward in a proactive and engaging spirit. Haven Siebels, Advertising, remarked, "Compared to traditional agencies, Monigle has the distinct advantage of overseeing an entire brand—from development and expression, to internal and external engagement, and asset conversion and implementation." Diya Thomas, Brand Strategy, added, "Our projects then are really designed as a fusion of strategy and creative. By taking down typical, conventional department walls, we work as a cohesive team to put equity in our clients' brands. This team is the embodiment of a culture that respects collaboration and passionate, performance-driven people.? The INFORMERS plan to meet bimonthly to continue to be ambassadors for the company, bring new ideas and resources, inspire and cultivate peer relationships, and show support for the community.
