Colonial Life Brand Receives Platinum MarCom Award

11.04.08-Monigle Associates, a leading firm that helps clients nationwide build and activate brands, announces that its client Colonial Life has received a Platinum Award from the 2008 MarCom Awards based on the design work produced by Monigle Associates. MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communications professionals.  

Platinum is the highest level awarded for this competition. Entries for the competition come from corporate marketing and communications departments, ad agencies, public relations firms, design shops, and freelancers. The MarCom Awards are administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals. There were over 5,000 entries from throughout the United States and several foreign countries for the 2008 competition. In addition, Colonial Life’s marketing and communications received three additional platinum awards, four gold awards and two honorable mentions.

“We are very pleased with our new brand and are honored to have it recognized with such an esteemed award. The creation and launch of the Colonial Life brand would not have been as successful if we had not partnered with Monigle Associates. Monigle Associates and Colonial Life worked closely together over a fifteen-month period to redefine the brand with both visual and strategic implications. During that time Monigle Associates created a new identity around a strengthened brand name, “Colonial Life,” and refocused tagline, “Making Benefits Count” —a play on supplementing individual benefits with added value for the insurance provider. The new brand was launched in January 2008 to Colonial Life’s 8,000 employees and sales representatives.
