Monigle Associates Lending Cans and Hands During the Holidays  11.09.2007 — This year 9Cares Colorado Shares celebrated its 25th year of helping to make the holidays brighter for less fortunate Colorado families. Monigle Associates was honored to give back to our Denver metro community by participating in the annual canned food and donations drive. As first-year participants in the Corporate Challenge - extended to all Colorado companies - Monigle employees together collected 2,700 pounds of food, ranking in the top 5 collected by a single organization. Team Leader Brittany Schick remarked, “It took several trips in four SUVs to get all the cans and palettes to the delivery site on Saturday. But once we got there, it was a humbling site - seeing the Denver business community coming together like that. A couple cans might not seem like much, but collectively the impact is staggering.” The final totals raised were the largest in 9Cares’s history, collecting over 195 tons of food and $81,000. All the food donated in the Denver metro area will be distributed to more than 90 food banks throughout our community. The cash donations will be used throughout the year to purchase food for area food banks. |
